Payment Methods for Subscriptions
When your cart includes a subscription item (for example, “Deliver every month, 5% off”), checkout will only offer payment methods that can be securely saved and charged automatically each cycle. This is normal — it’s what allows your subscription to renew on its own without you re-entering payment details every month.
Accepted for subscriptions
- Credit card — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay
- Shop Pay — shown once your details are recognised
Not available with a subscription in the cart
- Apple Pay
- Google Pay
- PayPal
- Bank transfer
- Cash on delivery
These methods can’t be charged automatically each month, so they’re hidden whenever a subscription item is in your cart.
Buying one-time items only? More payment options will appear at checkout. The moment any subscription item is added, the choices narrow to credit card and Shop Pay.
