Frequently Asked Questions
How salty are they, really?
Lightly. We salt to bring the almond forward, not to bury it — 105mg of sodium per 50g serve, which is modest for a savoury snack. You should still taste almond first and salt second. If you want none at all, the Unsalted version is the identical nut.
What kind of salt do you use?
Sea salt only. No sugar, no MSG, no yeast extract, no "natural flavouring". A lot of salted nuts on the market carry a seasoning blend that includes sugar and flavour enhancers to mask a dull nut. We do not need to mask this one.
What does "dry roasted" actually mean?
Roasted with heat alone — no oil. Most roasted nuts are tumbled through oil, which adds fat and leaves a greasy finish. Dry roasting draws out the almond's own sweetness instead of coating it. Check the ingredient list: almonds and sea salt, full stop.
What is a Non-Pareil almond?
The benchmark variety — smooth-skinned, evenly shaped, clean-tasting, with none of the bitterness of lesser almonds. It is what professional bakers and chocolatiers ask for by name.
How many should I eat a day?
A standard serve is about 30g — roughly 23 almonds, or a small handful. Nutrient-dense and calorie-dense, so a handful goes a long way.
Salted or unsalted — which should I choose?
Choose sea-salted for snacking, with drinks, or on a cheese board. Choose unsalted for baking, cooking, almond butter, or if you are watching sodium. Same almond, same roast — the only difference is the salt.
How should I store them?
Airtight container, cool and dark, out of sunlight. In Hong Kong's humidity the fridge keeps them crisp for longer. Every pack contains an oxygen and moisture absorber — leave it in the bag.
Do you deliver in Hong Kong?
Yes — free local delivery on orders over HK$350.
